Upcycle has saved the day again and have helped these books not make the landfill list just because they are branded. We have created beautiful books that have no trace of the previous branding and the books are as good as new!

The first sanitisation process is to establish how to remove branding from the various applications without damaging the cover so that the brand is not visible. Some journals that have brands printed on them, can be scraped off for a clean sanitisation process. Other debranding processes are more clinical, and the sanitisation of these journals vary from recovering to rebranding them.

Some of the journals are embedded with a brands logo, some are printed, and some might be engraved. The processes of sanitisation of these branded journals are as intricate as the initial branding process.

Throughout the process of each debranding element, extreme care is taken in not damaging the journal and compliance of sanitisation of the product. The Upcycle way of sanitisation is that zero waste goes to landfill.

The waste solution sanitisation output of this products reinvention has showcased the Upcycled value of usable journals with unique original beauty and inspiration. Upcycle Creative has through prototyping original ideas seen a creation of beautifully covered Shwe Shwe journals and emblems embedded onto the covers.

The creative talent and diverse artistry that are engaged in the design application of the sanitisation process has created livelihoods for individuals and communities that have been trained in the Upcycle way.
