Diverting waste while Creating More Impact
Expanding Our Partnership: Diverting More Waste, Creating More Impact
Recently, Winnie from Upcycle visited The Bell House to showcase the incredible end results of our collaborative efforts. The joy and pride on the residents’ faces as they saw their contributions transformed into dog beds, pillows, and eco-friendly footstools were absolutely priceless. This wasn’t just ‘busy work’—it was purposeful engagement, reinforcing that their efforts are a vital part of a larger, impactful change.
Our partnership with The Bell House goes far beyond just completing tasks—it’s about fostering dignity, connection, and healing. Through Upcycle, we provide knowledge, materials, and ongoing support, ensuring that residents are engaged in meaningful projects. In return, The Bell House offers a caring, supportive environment where individuals can contribute without pressure or financial burden.
This recent visit strengthened our connection even further, leading to the launch of a new initiative. The Bell House will now be collecting and making eco-bricks, which will be donated to Upcycle. These eco-bricks will then be transformed into sustainable seats and ottomans, further reducing waste and creating functional, eco-friendly products.
This expansion of our collaboration highlights the power of collective effort in driving real change. By working together, we are not only diverting more waste from landfills but also empowering individuals with purpose-driven work that benefits both the community and the environment.
We are excited about this next phase and look forward to seeing the continued positive impact of our partnership!
