Upcycle working with obsolute Inventory to empower communities

This video highlights a community empowerment project sponsored by DP World (formerly Imperial Logistics), where 20 women were trained by Upcycle in sewing and collaborated with Upcycle employees to produce 2,400 reusable sanitary pads for high school girls. The project not only provided valuable skills and income for the women involved but also promoted a decentralized, human-centric production model.

One of the male participants, Mr. May, a director of Upcycle Foundatrion, shares his initial hesitation and eventual appreciation for being part of a women-focused initiative, emphasizing the importance of male involvement in supporting female dignity and well-being. The project demonstrates how community-driven efforts can create meaningful social impact and sustainable employment opportunities.
