Serviette Holder
Transform cardboard into a Stylish Serviette Holder: A Easy Upcycle Craft
Why throw away those cardboard boxes when you can turn them into a stylish and functional serviette holder? This simple upcycling project is not only environmentally friendly but also adds a touch of creativity to your dining space. Perfect for organizing serviettes at home or for special occasions, this craft is easy and fun for all ages!
What You’ll Need:
- Cardboard (from cereal boxes, shipping boxes, or any other cardboard)
- Scissors
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Glue or double-sided tape
- Decorative paper or paint (optional)
- Craft knife (optional, for precision cutting)

Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Prepare the Cardboard
Start by choosing your cardboard. Flatten it out and remove any labels or tape. This will be the base for your serviette holder.

Step 2: Measure and Cut
Using a ruler and pencil, measure and mark the dimensions for your holder. A typical size could be about 12 inches long and 5 inches high, but feel free to adjust according to your needs. Cut out two identical rectangles for the sides and one larger rectangle for the base.
Step 3: Create the Divider (Optional)
If you want to separate different types of serviettes, you can create a divider. Cut a piece of cardboard to the desired height and width, and make sure it fits snugly within the base rectangle.

Step 4: Assemble the Holder
Start gluing the base rectangle to one of the side rectangles. Hold it in place until the glue dries. Next, attach the second side rectangle to the opposite edge of the base, forming a box shape. If you created a divider, glue it into place before securing the second side.

Step 5: Add Finishing Touches
Once the structure is complete, you can paint or cover the holder with decorative paper to add a personal touch. Use your favorite colors or patterns that match your home decor. Allow it to dry completely if you painted it.

Step 6: Place the Serviette Holder
Once dry, place your new serviette holder on your dining table, kitchen counter, or picnic area. Fill it with your favorite serviettes, and enjoy your creative handiwork!
